Choose our Full-Week Registration for six full days of thrilling drives, exclusive workshops, and vibrant social events from Monday to Saturday, immersing yourself in the complete adventure at the Tail of the Dragon. Or, opt for the Half-Week Registration from Wednesday to Saturday for a shorter, four-day experience that still captures the spirit of the event. DRIVES
There will be scheduled drives Tuesday through Friday: Cherohala, Foothills Parkway, and Moonshiner 28 down to Franklin, NC. Select your drives at the bottom of the registration form, which you’ll fill out when you add this to your cart.
Cherohala Skyway
We head east from Fontana over to the legendary Cherohala Skyway, completed in the fall of 1996 after being under construction for some thirty-four years. On the return we will head down into the Tail of the Dragon, our namesake drive, to head back home.
Foothills Parkway
The Foothills Parkway is a national parkway that traverses the foothills of the northern Great Smoky Mountains. This drive is a 4-hour loop from Fontana to Apple Valley Mountain Village & Cafe in Townsend, TN, then on through Bryson City, and back to Fontana.
Moonshiner 28
Named for the fact that it was an old moonshiner route, Moonshiner 28 winds down from right in front of Fontana down through the NC/GA border, but we’ll be stopping in Highlands, NC, where there are plenty of restaurant options for participants to choose from. We may yet identify one restaurant where everyone will eat together, otherwise, we’ll let everyone loose to enjoy the town and convene at a pre-determined time and place to make the drive back up to Fontana.
VOLUNTEERS
Be part of the heart and soul of Pride at the Dragon VI with our Volunteer Registration. Enjoy discounted access to either the full-week or half-week experience while contributing to the magic that makes this event possible. As a volunteer, you’ll be given up to two work assignments over any two-day period, which could include tasks such as helping at event entrances, setting up and tearing down spaces, loading and unloading supplies, tending the firepit, or delivering items to cabins. By choosing this option, you’re joining a dedicated team committed to creating an unforgettable event for all. Sign up today to make lasting memories and support the Pride at the Dragon community! If you select this registration type, be sure to answer the final question on the registration form asking after your preferred contact method for our Volunteer Coordinator. We are only looking for people who are communicative and ready to help. Registrants who do not respond to the first two attempts to communicate will be refunded their ticket, less any transaction fees we have incurred, and be invited to purchase a full price ticket instead.
